Our client is active in the production and distribution of wine with a turnover of 10M€. They use the ERP Bison for financial management.

The issue

They face a situation of low margins / high-volume, with the added twist of a salesforce used to favor volume over profitability by giving various kinds of discounts relatively hard to track in the ERP.

They have decided to commission salespersons on the actual margin on each item line, leaving them with enough flexibility to please customers where needed while improving the overall corporate profitability.

dgenious is used to compute the actual profitability of each sale, which is possible thanks to its ability to define complex computations using its 200+ built-in formulas.

It is also used to provide each salesperson with detailed commission reports. Discounts and gratuities granted to customers are now subject to a rigorous monitoring.

Another need of this customer is that he has to perform analysis on combined data coming from their current ERP, but also from their legacy ERP (an AS400 based system dating from the 90’s). The legacy ERP has all data prior to the implementation of the new ERP, but also new data as it is still in use for some small parts of the business.
